Elizabeth Drew Autograph

Might as well get this one out of the way early. This is a letter from Elizabeth Drew’s secretary, on behalf of Ms. Drew. It accompanied her signed My Turn article. Ms. Drew was and is a columnist and author with a focus on US politics. Her article appeared in June 1973.

Ms. Drew graciously complied with my father’s request to sign the article, and in turn requested that the article not be reproduced. Foresight. Amazing. Actually I’m not sure what she was preparing against but I’m sure it wasn’t this. Her article was about the temptations of executive power in the US government, and how each party tends to alter its views of the subject based upon whether their strength is in the Presidency or the Congress.

No matter. We happily comply with her request. Thank you for signing, Ms. Drew. Received 4/28/1975
